The Parish Plan - Committees

The Steering Committee is responsible for strategy and co-ordinating the activities of the following Sub-Committees.  To find out more about their function, please click on the links below.

The Steering Committee
  1. The Steering Committee consists of up to 15 members of the community and must include at least one member under the age of 21
  2. It will appoint a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer
  3. It will deal with all financial matters relating to the Parish Plan through the  Parish Council who act as overseeers of the finances.  A Treasurers reports will be made at all meetings.
  4. The role of the Steering Committee is to engage in the detailed planning and co-ordination of the whole project including the Business Plan and Budget at the start of the project

Transport To establish the needs of the village related to Transport within, from and to the village.  Wyvern Rail, Cycling groups , local schools will all be consulted Pauline Buckle

Sport To establish the needs of the village related to sport.  Opinions must be sought from those who do not (now or ever) engage in active sport as well as those who belong to sporting organisations John Griffith

Environment To establish the needs of the village related to environment. The remit covers the built structures, open spaces, rivers, wild life, flora, re-cycling and lighting. Gerard Varin  
Youth Facilities To establish the needs of the village to Youth in out-of-school activities.  The opinions of adults are needed because they are the ones who will assist in the provision of the facilities  
Business & Organisations To establish the needs of the village related to business and organisation. Topics such as business services, access to professional help, publicity, and voluntary support.  Users of business must be asked for their views as well as those who deliver services David Nelms
The Aged To establish the needs of the village related to people who are retired from full-time work or of pensionable age.  The views of those below pension age are needed because they will be the future clients for any provision. Marian Taulbut
Entertainment To establish the needs of the village related to. This includes group private and public events.  Non-participants must be approached to establish whether they would become involved in new schemes  
People at Home To establish the needs of the village related to those whose lives lie is at home.  This covers mothers looking after children, those caring for sick relatives, those not able to take part in activities outside the home.  Comments from Home people and also those active outside the home are needed because the status of people changes with time Marian Taulbut
